A moment of clarity came when we used their own terminology “filling the gap” to begin discussing their most meaningful measurement from that perspective.

Impact at a Glance:

  • Developed a simple means to collect the impact of the dollars they distribute to mental health organizations across Canada

  • Provided Impact Everyday! Training to 14 of their recent grantees

  • Help these organizations build a logic model and a plan to consistently track their most meaningful impact.

Behind him is a purple banner promoting mental health awareness with social media icons and a website link. The corner of a white office chair is visible to his right, and a window with frosted glass panes is behind him.
  • The Challenge:

  • The A Dollar A Day Foundation funds mental health and addictions organizations across the country with unrestricted funding to run grassroots programs that make a real difference in every Canadian province and territory. They wanted a clearer, more consistent way to track and communicate the impact of their funding across mental health and addiction programs nationwide.

Our Approach:

After hearing their story, we suggested we take their recent grantee organizations through our Impact Everyday! training.

We worked pro bono to support the foundation and grantee organizations to use our unique impact framework that strengthened reporting at both the organizational and foundation level.

We Delivered:

  • Impact Everyday! training for 14 grantee organizations plus the staff of the Foundation.

  • Coaching with the learners to help them finalize their impact measures and plans to track and communicate impact.

  • A very succinct way for A Dollar A Day to meaningfully track their impact - with just two simple indicators.

Our Impact:

  • Grantees gained clearer performance metrics and impact roadmaps.

  • The foundation is launching a new national impact measurement tool in 2026.

  • Improved ability to articulate how funding narrows service gaps across the country.

A Human Moment:

A moment of clarity came when we used their own terminology “filling the gap” to begin discussing their most meaningful measurement from that perspective.
